This video is a computer generated model of existing Main Street Tupelo, as a four-lane section, provided courtesy of RPM Transportation Consultants. The model analyzes typical traffic movement along Main Street during peak traffic time (estimated at around 5:20 p.m.) Main Street currently handles an average of about 18,000 vehicles per day.

Downtown Tupelo 1928

I can't believe they would consider this. This make east main traffic awful! You don't need a city planner to know that. With money as tight as it is now, how can anyone justify this?
